He was predeceased by : his father Herbert; and his pet Mabel. He is survived by : his mother Joyce; and his sisters, Lori, Kim, Michele, Carrie and Nici. He is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews; 20 great nieces and nephews; and 3 great-great nieces and nephews.

In his final act of generosity, B donated his body to research, impacting the future of science through the Gift of Life and Lieber Institute for Brain Development.
