He is survived by: his wife Christine; his daughters, Siân Owen-Cruise (David) of Ypsilanti and Catherine Ruster (Brian) of Grand Haven; his grandchildren, Morgan Cencer (Tim), Owen Ruster and Erin Ruster; and his sister Pat O'Donoghue (Tim) of Ireland. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
He held many patents, authored numerous scientific papers, and made lasting contributions to the development of silicone technology.
