He was predeceased by: his parents, Santiago Martinez and Evangelina Noyola. He is survived by: his wife Maria Gamez; his children, David Martinez (Marlen), Mary Ann Shepard (Christopher), Brenda Foster (Michael), Magali Ortiz (Luis) and Moises Nicolas Martinez; his grandchildren, Meghan, Fatima, Anamari, Christina, Cole, Michael Jr., Mia, Michelle, Micah and Lorenzo; and his siblings, Jose Martinez, Ines Martinez, Martin Martinez, Gerardo Martinez and Guadalupe Martinez.

Viewing was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Purse Funeral Home (2959 N Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI 49221). The lying in state was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Holy Family Parish (305 Division St, Adrian, MI 49221). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery (771 Division St, Adrian, MI 49221).
