He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Welsh and Ruth Welsh (White); his wife JoAnn Welsh; his brothers, Gerald Welsh and Kenneth Welsh; and his daughter-in-law Shirley Welsh.

He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Welsh and Valerie Reese (Steven); his grandchildren, Cori Reese and Mark Reese; his great grandchildren, Bryce and Eli; and his brothers, Raymond Welsh (Sharon) and Terry Welsh. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
