It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Raul H Alafita of Adrian, Michigan, born in Cotulla, Texas, who passed away on May 10, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Carmen; his parents, Carlos Alafita and Hortencia Villarreal; his grandparents, Eloisa and Nacho Alafita; and his brothers, Gustavo Villarreal, Carlos Villarreal, Geronimo Verastique and Mike Verastique.
He is survived by: his significant other Georgia Greenhill; his children, Lisa Lucas (Jim) and Mark Alafita (Kristin); his granddaughters, Alyssa Lucas, Kristina Bellas (Zak), Sabrina Alafita and Claire Alafita; his great grandchildren, Frankie and Stevie Bellas; and his siblings, Carlos Alafita Jr. and Chriselda Verastique.
Visitation was held on Sunday, May 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home – Adrian (3050 W Beecher Rd, Adrian, MI 49221). A funeral service was held on Monday, May 19th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Family Parish (415 Ormsby St, Adrian, MI 49221). A graveside service was held on Monday, May 19th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Mary Cemetery (305 Division St, Adrian, MI 49221).
Memorial donations in Rudy's memory may be given to Hospice of Lenawee or Michigan Parkinson's Foundation.
