He is survived by: his mother Mary Alice Gerth (Sawyer) of Adrian; his wife Lisa Gerth (Heck); his children, Zackary Gerth of Adrian, Jessica Sheldon of Deerfield, Jody Ejarque of Adrian, Joshua Turpening of Adrian, Justin Turpening of Adrian, Jeremy Turpening of Adrian and Anthony Heck of Adrian; his siblings, Vicki Pinegar (David) of Ridgeland, SC, Jackie Peterson (Warren) of Onsted, Debra Walker (Joe) of Tecumseh, Valerie Barker of Adrian, Linda Funk (Greg) of Pataskala, OH and Sandra Pixley (Larry) of Palmyra; and his grandchildren, Zander, Zophia, Charles and Kaylee.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Home of Jackie and Warren Peterson (6600 Springville Hwy, Onsted, MI 49265).
Memorial contributions in Richard's honor can be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
