With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Richard Newton McAnear of Afton, Michigan, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward McAnear and Cleo McAnear; his siblings, Robin McAnear and Rex McAnear; and his granddaughter Danielle Hopkinson.

He is survived by: his wife Nicole McAnear; his children, Kathryn Hopkinson (Rance) of Farwell, Ashley Osborne of Texas and Jon McAnear of Texas; his grandchildren, Ann Marie Green, Christopher Green and Beau Hopkinson; his brother Revis McAnear; his mother-in-law Margo Hoogstraten; his in-laws, Heather Gibson and Donnie Poole; and his nieces, Morgan Joseph, Samantha Joseph, Kayla Switzer and Finn Poole. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
