He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Charles and Ferndale Schmitt (Yax); his siblings, Lloyd, Cecil, Philip, Eugene, Milton, Charles, Jackie, Janet and Jane; and his son-in-law Michael McIntosh.
He is survived by: his daughters, Pamela McIntosh, Tammy Gist (Demerus) and Stacy Haymaker (Jay); his granddaughters, Ashley Godard (Ryan), Jade Schmitt and Mya Gist; and his great grandchildren, Alexis and Andrew Godard. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring to make a memorial contribution are asked to consider the wishes of the family (c/o of Pamela McIntosh) or a charity of the donor's choice.
