He was predeceased by : his parents, George Baumgartner and Grace Baumgartner (Bricker). He is survived by : his significant other Jean Baumgartner; his children, Sheila Smith of Alanson and Dan Baumgartner (Kailie) of Alanson; his grandchildren, Beth Smith, Adrianna Baumgartner, Noah Baumgartner and Wyatt TenHarmsel; and his sister Judy Eaton of Petoskey.
