She was predeceased by: her father Harry Cousins; her son Vincent Avant Jr.; and her parent Jan Hink. She is survived by: her close friend James Nyssen; her children, Amanda Cvitkovic (Stuart Musson), James Nyssen Jr. (Tiffany), Joseph Nyssen and Teresa Hartsell (Joe); her grandchildren, Alexandria Musson, Adrian Musson and Amelie Nyssen; and her siblings, Jana Cousins and Robert Cousins. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
