He was predeceased by: his parents, George Walter and Katherine Walter (Schray); his brothers, David and Robert Walter; his son Kenneth Walter; and his sister-in-law Mary Walter.
He is survived by: his wife Carol G. Prior; his children, Donald Walter Jr. (Eduardo Mitry), Nancy Howk (Corby) and Amy K. Laupp; his grandchildren, Danielle Cole (Clint), Josh Rockwell (Donna), Dakoda Laupp, Kort Laupp, Kendra Laupp (Miranda Miller) and Kyelee Powers-Livingston (Michael); his siblings, George Walter Sr., Doris Locke and Kathleen Wible; and his sister-in-law Linda Walter. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services (723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, MI 49068). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
