He was predeceased by: his parents, Alden R. Keiper and Laura Mae Keiper (Williams); his son Daniel Keiper; and his brother Keith Keiper. He is survived by: his wife Juanita "Jean" Slone; his children, Laura Keiper of Battle Creek and Michael Nowicke of Marshall; his grandchildren, Elaina Nowicke, Evelynn Nowicke and Rayna Nowicke; his sisters, Deborah Keiper of Sturgis and Linda Smith (Marvin) of Tekonsha, Michigan.; and his daughter Aubrye Pearl of Albion, Michigan..
