He was predeceased by: his mother Mamie Brown; his siblings, Bernice McCrary, Henry Brown and Jessica Hughes; and his stepson Lloyd Stevenson.
He is survived by: his stepfather Jessie Brown; his sister Melody Hughes of Illinois; his wife Marjorie Stevenson of Allegan; his daughter Shena Young of Houston; his grandchildren, Darius Vonrossum of Plainwell and Dorian Vonrossum of Phoenix; his stepchildren, Diana Stevenson Monroe (Dale) of South Bend, IN and Dela Dandridge of Atlanta; and his stepgrandchildren, Dion and Alexis Stevenson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends.
