She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Pickitt and Ann Pickitt; her husband Bill Smith; and her sisters, Wildarene Sheffer (Chuck), Miriam Cook (Boone) and Reva Miller (John).
She is survived by: her children, Cassandra Atkins (Cassie) and Wesley Smith (Melanie); and her grandchildren, Savannah Devine (Alan), Raven Ellicott, Liza Rusan (Joey), Shanel Nightingale (CJ), Deidre Radcliffe (Zachary), Madelyn Carter (Alex) and Hudson Smith (Hannah). She is also survived by her twelve great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Gorden Funeral Residence (528 Trowbridge St, Allegan, MI 49010). A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 4:30 PM to 4:45 PM at the Oakwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lois, may be directed to Wings of Hope Hospice of Allegan or Camp Beechpoint in Allegan.
