She was predeceased by: her parents, William Shier and Agnes Shier (Martin); her spouse LaVern VanAuken; her daughter-in-law Gail VanAuken; her great grandchild Jacob Green; and her siblings, Donald, Dwight, Duane Shier and Nancy Riddle.
She is survived by: her children, Nicholas VanAuken of Hamilton, Richard VanAuken of Hamilton, Carrie Warner (Ike) of Otsego and Cindy Brockway (Chris) of Missouri. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild along with several nieces and nephews.
