He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert Jones and Agnus Jones; his sister-in-law Helen Jones; and his grandsons, Nathaniel Root and Shawn Heise.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Jones; and his stepchildren, Rick Jones (Hildur Kristjanfdottir), Cathy Tilma, Connie Brooks (Jim), Kim Klunder (Mike), Steve Smith (Pam Brown), Karen Heise (Ken), Lori Root (Junior) and Lisa Stoepker (Joel).
