“It is with great regret that I did not know about Barbara’s death until now. She and Ed lived in a Duplex beside my husband and I in Fort Hood, (Killeen) Texas in 1961-62. They both complimented each other so perfectly. I can still see Barbara’s great smile. Several years after they moved to Michigan, Barbara called me and I accused her of becoming a Yankee. It did not take her long to lose that Texas accent. I loved them both, buried my husband, Steve 12 years ago. Nicky McDonald”
