She was predeceased by: her husband Frank Merandi; her children, Deborah Elkins (James) and Frank John Merandi (Cindi); her parents, Gabriel Kormos and Emerenz Kormos; and her siblings, Irene, Margaret and Walter.
She is survived by: her daughters, Katherine McMillan (Tim), Francesca Deming (late Charles) and Beth Ann Murphy (late Brian); her grandchildren, Gabriel Elkins (Kelly), Timothy McMillan, Shannon, James Eagan, Sean, Sarah Murphy, Kyle, Steven Merandi, Samantha Merandi, Shane, Dominic Merandi and Carly; and her great grandchildren, Greyson, Payton, Aiden, Parker, Zayn and Eleanor.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the Allen Park Chapel - Martenson Family (10915 Allen Rd, Allen Park, MI 48101). The lying in state was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church (6442 Pelham Rd, Taylor, MI 48180). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
