She was predeceased by : her parents, James McGirr and Sadie McGirr; her brother Dale; and her daughter Karen Sowislo. She is survived by : her children, Wendy Reimers (Steve), Craig Nelson (Vicki) and Laura Betham (Raymond); and her grandchildren, Sarah Reimers, Erik Reimers, Jaime Reimers, Karl Sowislo, Erin Addison (Nelson), Rachel Nelson, Brittany Betham, Colleen Detchev (Sowislo), Brian Nelson and Neil Betham. She is also survived by her 11 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Allen Park Presbyterian Church Organ Fund.
