He is survived by: his wife Chris; his children, Meredith Winnberg (Dan), Ben (Wendy), Bethany Williams (Nathan) and Cara Grubb (Jonathan); his grandchildren, Dylan, Megan, Mackenzie Winnberg, Katelynn, Cole, Stella, Grey Williams, Ava, Macy, Josiah and Jaxon Grubb; his sister Dr. Janet K. McKenney; his nephew Andrew McKenney (Jennifer); his sister-in-law Jan Schaap (Keith); his nieces, Stephanie Bauman (Joshua) and Lindsey Spaman (Travis); his sister-in-law Donna Flansburg (Ed); his nephews, Lee and Drew Flansburg; his brother-in-law Dan Parkin; and his grandson Cade.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Jim's memory to the IFOPA, an international organization dedicated to finding a cure for Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva and assisting patients who have the disease and their families.
