John Dobbs Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Dobbs (Allen Park, Michigan), who passed away on December 10, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid John farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For John is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Dobbs and Margaret Dobbs; and his brother Timothy. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann; his children, Michelle Mertic (Tony) and Christopher Dobbs; and his grandsons, John Mertic (Jordyn), Joseph Mertic and Jacob Mertic. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM. A Mass will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Our Lady of the Woods Catholic Church (21892 Gudith Rd, Woodhaven, MI 48183).
