It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Marion Orr in Allen Park, Michigan, who passed away on October 13, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Joseph departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Joseph may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Joseph leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Smith Orr and Amelia Starsnich Orr; and his wife Anna Bergeron Orr of Eunice, LA. He is survived by: his children, Nancy Potter (Chip) of Roanoke, VA, Julia Williams (Mike) of Madison, MS, Joseph Jr. (Lisa) of Madison, MS, James Orr (Patti) of Hernando, MS and Jeffery Orr of Clinton, MS. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Holy Savior Catholic Church (714 Lindale St, Clinton, MS 39056). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, Joseph may be honored and remembered by having a Mass offered in his name at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Clinton, or any Catholic Church of your choosing.
