She was loved and cherished by many people including : her children, Sarah Gatza (Mike) and Danny Smith (Cassie); her siblings, Peggy Dolson, Roy Fretenborough (Patty), Terri Becker, Laurie Cuellar (Mike) and Lee Fretenborough; her grandchildren, Elijah, Isabelle, Tyler, Joseph, Raegan, Molly and Luke; and also Dennis Smith. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, September 24th 2023 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Weise Funeral Home (7210 Park Ave, Allen Park, MI 48101). A rosary was held on Sunday, September 24th 2023 at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass was held on Monday, September 25th 2023 at 9:15 AM and at 9:45 AM at the St. Frances Cabrini Church (9000 Laurence Ave, Allen Park, MI 48101).
