He was predeceased by: his mother Rosalie Fobar; his former wife Barbara Fobar; his children, Siena Emery and Neal Fobar; his son-in-law Bruce Thomson Sr.; his grandsons, Michael Fobar Jr. and Jonathan Fobar; his father Elmer Heyer; his grandparents, Myrtle and Frank Fobar; Rosalie Stamm.
He is survived by: his wife Susan; his children, Michael Sr. (Kandy Roy), Rene Fobar, Ricarda Thomson, Kimberlee Cwiek (Charles) and Scott Fobar (Donn); and his brother-in-law Patrick Woolley. He is also survived by his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and his great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 28th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Voran Funeral Home (5900 Allen Rd, Allen Park, MI 48101). A rosary was held on Friday, November 28th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. The lying in state was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Frances Cabrini Parish (9000 Laurence Ave, Allen Park, MI 48101-1598). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Great Lakes National Cemetery (4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442).
