He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Helen; and his children, Robert Jr. (Rosetta), Rose (John), Michele (William), Lynne (Martin) and Thomas (Amy). He was also cherished by 13 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
