Sheldon Herbert Lapham Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on October 24, 2025, at the age of 97, Sheldon Herbert Lapham (Allen Park, Michigan), born in Detroit, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Sheldon may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Sheldon touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Lapham and Erma Lapham (Brisbois); and his wife Pauline Stoddart. He is survived by: his caregiver Betty Hicks; his daughter Marilyn Wright (Michael); and his granddaughters, Kyla Cross (Shalom) and Sara Bibbler (Joey). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In honor of Shelly, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
