He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy; his parents, John Potgeter and Janet Potgeter; his parents-in-law, Joe and Rebecca Snip; his brother Harold Potgeter; and his siblings-in-law, Louise, Clyde Spencer, Helen, Melvin Merritt, Don, Mary Snip, Arthur Langerak and Edna Snip.

He is survived by: his children, Deb, Jerry Rotman, Linda, Arlyn Eisen and Kevin Potgeter; his grandchildren, Eric, Brienne Eisen, Katie, Josh Bekkering, Jeremy, Marie Rotman, Matt Rotman, Dan, Sara Eisen, Joe, Brianne Eisen and Sophia Potgeter; his great grandchildren, Nicolas, Paige, Raegan, Ryan, Charlotte, Adalaide and Liam; and his siblings-in-law, Robert Snip, Ruth Langerak, Beatrice Potgeter, Bertha and Bob Timmer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
