She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Myers and Gladys Myers (Hale); her former husband Rev. Arval "John" Buckner; her husband Kenneth Petersen; her sons, R. J., Thomas and Mike Buckner; and her stepchildren, John, Gary Petersen and Sue Stump.
She is survived by: her children, David Buckner (Diane), Bonnie Buckner, Candy Burr (Jack) and Randolph Buckner (Darlene); and her stepdaughter Paula Petersen. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great grandchildren.
