He was predeceased by : his parents, Octoviano Garcia and Julia Garcia; and his wife Consuelo S. Sanchez of Mary's Catholic Church. He is survived by : his children, Ric Garcia (Tina), Gil Garcia (Kerri), Mike Garcia, Dave Garcia (Tracey), Anita Case (Gary), Sandi Larson (Jon) and Rosemarie Kazmerski; and his sisters, Minga of Montana and Vicenta Pazz (Carley). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lux-Moody-Wolfel Funeral Home (531 N State St, Alma, MI 48801). A prayer was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Nativity of the Lord Parish (605 S Franklin St, St. Louis, MI 48880).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
