He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Mackie and Sara Mae Mackie (Haley). He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Mackie of Alma; his children, Sara Ann Mackie of Alma and Eric Mackie (Mariko Chiba Mackie) of Ann Arbor; and his grandchildren, Eric "Kai" of Ann Arbor and Leah Mackie of Ann Arbor.
