He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertram French and Ellen French (Federspiel); his wife Edie French (Richards); his siblings, Dean French, Doris Young and Donna Cole; and his son-in-law Jim Kennedy.

He is survived by: his children, Marlyn French (Lisa), Lezlie Anderson (Steve), Jerry French (Pam), Michelle Kennedy and Neoma French. He is also survived by Seventeen grandchildren; many great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
