With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Ernest Johnston of Alma, Michigan, born in Big Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on March 7, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, John Johnston and Lolabel Johnston (Bruce); his wife Sandy; and his brothers, Mark, Bruce, Gail and Steve Johnston.

He is survived by : his children, Patti Johnston of Alma, MI and David (Diana Johnston); his grandchildren, Destiny (Jeremy Bennett), Ashley Falcone of Alma, MI, Frannie Seeley of Sumner, MI, David (Cassie Wetmore) and Darcy Johnston of Chesapeake, VA; his great grandchildren, Acadian Seeley, Maverick Shock and Danica Wetmore; and his sister Pat (Jim Schafer).

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
