She was predeceased by: her parents, Cortes Oral Lovey and Ruth J Lovejoy (Utterback); her brothers, Max, Rex and Robert Lovejoy; and her grandson Nathan Smith.

She is survived by: her spouse Russell Powelson; her children, Tamara Powelson Decker (Darrell), Timothy Smith and Cortes Smith (Wendy); and her siblings, Zora Datema, Janet Graham and Donald Lovejoy (Merlene). She is also survived by nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to Compassus Hospice.
