We announce the death of Raymond Lewis Burks of Alma, Michigan, who passed away on August 30, 2026, at the age of 64. Raymond will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse F. Burks and George Ella Burks (Perkins); and his siblings, Roy Jones and Catherine Smith. He is survived by: his children, Jordyn Burks, Lauren Lockwood (Matt), Jaedan Burks and Noah Burks; his grandchildren, Lyam Burks, John Clever, Elijah Clever, Josh Clever, Samuel Clever, Daniel Clever and Nathaniel Clever; his siblings, James C. Burks (Mae), James E. Burks (Heather), Sam Davis and June Burks; and his sister-in-law Jackie Jones. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Amazing Grace Church (9232 E Monroe Rd, Wheeler, MI 48662). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
