With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carolyn Sue Akers of Almont, Michigan, born in Hi Hat, Kentucky, who passed away on November 19, 2023 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Allen L. Burkett and Mary Burkett (Maglene); her husband Gordon Akers Sr.; her children, Jill Eades of Sebring, Gordon Akers Jr. (Katrina) of Melvin and Woodrow Akers (Cindy) of Almont; her sister Alice Sparks (Jerry); and her son Scottie Lynn Akers. She was also cherished by 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren.
