Gil Norman Blasdell Obituary
We bid farewell to Gil Norman Blasdell of Almont, Michigan, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 13, 2025 at the age of 66. Gil touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Blasdell and Marjorie Blasdell Sr.; and his siblings, Robert Blasdell Jr., Pamela Wheeler and Sharon Clark.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah Atwell-Blasdell; his children, Gil Blasdell Jr. (Haley) and Joanna Blasdell; his stepchildren, Nathan Atwell (Stacy) and Hannah Swan (Nick); his grandchildren, Cody, Samantha, Henry, Ruby, Drake and Reid; his brothers, Bill Blasdell, Steve Blasdell and Marvin Blasdell; and his friends, Loretta and Craig Kirbitz.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (11110 Saginaw St, Mt Morris, MI 48458). A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Great Lakes National Cemetery (4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be considered to the Wounded Warriors Project or the Karmanos Cancer Research Foundation.
