She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Kline and Regina Kline (Zmyslony); her husband Robert Smart; her son Matthew Smart; and her brother Tom Kline.

She is survived by: her daughter Stacie Nielsen (Josh Olson); her grandchildren, Isabella, Connor and Jaide; her siblings, Catherine Carpenter (Howard), Dan Kline (Grace Ann), Cheryl Bauer (Dave) and Fred Kline (Maria); and her close friends, Jessica Koss (Nick) and Mary Garant (Bill). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
