He was predeceased by: his parents, Orrie Freeman and Lula Freeman (Welch); his wife Judith McLaren; and his sister Lois Koss. He is survived by: his children, Lori Igielski (Theo), Thomas Freeman and Kelli Samp (Scott); and his granddaughters, Alyssa Klepoch (Tristan) and Emily Samp.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bannan Funeral Home (222 S 2nd Ave, Alpena, MI 49707). A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
