He was predeceased by: his parents, Lionel Misel and Dolores Misel (Kujawa). He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Hardy; his children, Michelle French (Shawn) of Weidman, MI, Dan Misel of Alpena, MI and Marie Misel of Alpena, MI; his sisters, Debra Ross (Gary) and Mary Michaels; and his grandchildren, Maddie, Kort French, Michael, Rebecca Misel and Chase Misel. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The military honors was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Bannan Funeral Home (222 S 2nd Ave, Alpena, MI 49707). A prayer was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Of All Saints Parish (817 Sable St, Alpena, MI 49707).
