The memory of Frederick L. Hammermeister of Alpena, Michigan, who passed away on October 10, 2025 at the age of 78, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolph Hammermeister and Florence Hammermeister (Larson); and his sisters, Eunice Kreuger and Pauline LeClair. He is survived by: his wife Annette Spencer; his children, Todd (Heather) and Lori Hiler (Alec Easley); his grandchildren, TJ, Chad, Jordan, Hunter, Cameron, Noah and Abigail; his sisters, Kathleen DeRocher and Elaine Pearcey (Jack); and his brother-in-law Paul Spencer.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the VFW Hall (2900 Connon St, Alpena, MI 49707). The military honors will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Michigan.
