She was predeceased by: her parents, Francoius Townsend and Helen Townsend; her grandson Tim Lester; her brothers, William, Charles and Boyd Jr.; and her daughter-in-law Karen Gohl.
She is survived by: her husband Bill Gohl, Sr.; her children, William Gohl, Jr. (Cathy Schultz), Richard Gohl (Marina) and Jo Ann Taylor (Jim); her grandchildren, Cassandra Suszek (Fred), William III Gohl (Shellie), Terri Northrup (Gene), Tracy Lester (Josh Taylor), Richard Gohl, Christopher Gohl and Kevin Gohl; her siblings, Roy Townsend (Loretta), Theodore Townsend (Kaye) and Geraldine Schultz (Jon); and her sisters-in-law, Mabel Townsend and Norma Townsend.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the McWilliams Funeral Home (504 W Washington Ave, Alpena, MI 49707). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
