It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mabel Violete Townsend of Alpena, Michigan, who passed away on August 6, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Liske and Amelia Liske (Kihn); her husband William Townsend; her son-in-law Joseph Broderick; and her siblings, Theresa Sommerfield, Delores Michaluk and William Liske.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Broderick and Thomas Townsend (Marie); her grandchildren, Jamus Lapczynski (Laura), Danielle Kaiser (Tim), Christopher Broderick and Brian Townsend (Lori); and her great grandchildren, Drew Lapczynski, Reagan Lapczynski, Morgan Caldwell and Max Townsend. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the King Settlement Cemetery (3746 King Settlement Rd, Alpena, MI 49707).
