She is survived by: her husband Ken Hawes; her children, Angelina Pear, Sean Pear (Linda McNeill), Richard Hawes and Kevin Hawes (Jill); her grandchildren, Paula Rae Pear, Josephine Mullins, Scott Hawes, Brittany Hawes, Becca Hawes and Janie Hawes; her great grandchild Brinlee Hawes; and her brother Mark Burger.
Additionally, she volunteered for many years in the Alzheimer's Walk in Alpena, advocating for those affected by the disease.
