She was predeceased by: her parents, Garnet Dove and Edna Dove (Stricker); her husband Sandy Roy McDonald; her daughter Lori Lee VandenBerg; her granddaughter Kelly Patrice O'Brien; her son-in-law Patrick O'Brien; and her brothers, Arlen Dove and Marvin Dove.
She is survived by: her children, Cathy Hughes (William) of Gaylord, Sherrie O'Brien of Lachine and Allen McDonald of Lachine; her brother Eldon Dove (Shirley) of Flint; and her sister-in-law Paz Dove of Grand Rapids. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
