He was predeceased by: his parents, Ida Ritthaler (Liske) and Edward Ritthaler. He is survived by: his wife Linda Ritthaler (Bonham); his children, Douglas, Darcie Ritthaler (Moss), Darin, Indah Ritthaler (Jono) and Dawn (Griffin); his grandchildren, Brittney (Frizzell), Derrick Sheppard, Ethan Frizzell, Morgan, Ryn Rittlee, Kyle, Haley Harris, Joseph Frizzell, Andrew Moss (AJ), Karissa Ritthaler, David Moss, Annastasia Ritthaler, Carson, Kenndy Sheppard, Connelly and Tallulah Harris; his siblings, Edward Ritthaler, Arlene Meyers, Diane Ritthaler, Betty Tolsdorf, Floyd Ritthaler, Carol Kaiser, Gayle Thibault and Wendy Thibault; Janet Thibault and Judy Schiller. He is also survived by 22 nieces and nephews.
