With sadness, we share the passing of William Stanley Smigelski of Alpena, Michigan. William, born on September 23, 1953, passed away on October 8, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember William for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Addison. He is survived by: his parents, Charlotte Smigelski (Castrop) and Bert Thomas (Person); his wife Bert; his daughter Liz Smigelski (Josh Morasky); his grandson Braylon Bushey; his stepson Christian Person (Kate); his pet Ali; his close friend Bill Keskimaki (Bill); and his friend Barb Crittenden. He is also survived by brother from different mothers.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Bannan Funeral Home (222 S 2nd Ave, Alpena, MI 49707).
