We announce the death of Joanne Dykstra of Alto, Michigan, who passed away on June 1, 2026, at the age of 79. Joanne will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Barber and Nancy Barber; and her brothers, Robert and Daniel Barber. She is survived by: her husband James Dykstra; her sons, David Dykstra (Jenifer) and Benjamin Dykstra; her grandchildren, Caleb, Kaitlin and Connor; her great grandchildren, Callum and Annette; and her sisters, Carol Anderson (Bruce), Nanci VadenBerg, Elizabeth Kissenger (Denny) and Terri Kissenger (James). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
