He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest "Boots" Boorsma and Alice Boorsma (Hudson); his sister Staranne Nicklow; and his brothers-in-law, Ron Cook and Bill Cook.
He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline; his children, Judith (Gerald Graves), Jill Boorsma-Jewell (Mark Jewell), Jennifer Boorsma, Joel Boorsma and Jason (Belinda Boorsma); his grandchildren, Ethan Jewell, Willem Jewell, Jackson Boorsma, Spencer Boorsma, Amelia Boorsma, Lilah Boorsma and Abigail Boorsma; and his siblings-in-law, Patrick Cook, Kathleen Cavanaugh (Mike), Judy Cook and Mary Cook. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
