She was predeceased by: her son John Matthew; her parents, Marion Shade and Opal Shade; and her siblings, Wanda and Dale.
She is survived by: her husband Harold Jr.; her children, Terry Metternick (Cheryl), Nancy Metternick and Tim Metternick (Kathy); her sister Yvonne Gould; and her sister-in-law Rose Marie Bruinsma (Bill). She is also survived by eight grandchildren: seven great-grandchildren.
