Anneliese Gensheimer Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Anneliese Gensheimer of Ann Arbor, Michigan, who passed away on December 14, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Anneliese departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Anneliese may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Anneliese leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Johannes Hoffmann and Helene Hoffmann; her husband Rev. Charles Gensheimer; and her son John Gensheimer. She is survived by: her sons, Paul of Albuquerque and Peter (Masako) of Tokyo, Japan; and her grandchildren, Luke and Coco.
